The price of gas futures in Europe again updated the maximum since March and exceeded $3,360 per thousand cubic meters, follows from the data of the London ICE exchange.

Such jumps in gas prices are explained by the uncertainty in the issue of its supply by Russia to Europe.

The Russian corporation “Gazprom” announced a decrease in supplies via the Nord Stream gas pipeline on July 27. The Kremlin explained that the system was unable to pump the same amount of gas due to maintenance made more difficult by EU sanctions.

The volume of gas supplied via Nord Stream has decreased due to technical work: the Canadian company did not return the repaired turbine to Siemens.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Gazprom has always fulfilled and will continue to fulfill its obligations to supply blue fuel, and Western politicians are simply trying to “transfer arrows” to the Russian enterprise.
