The Federal Antimonopoly Service received proposals from entrepreneurs to change the deadlines for retailers to pay suppliers for socially significant products. They write about it “News” with reference to a source in the FAS.
According to the current legislation, the time of payment for products depends on the expiration date. Suppliers for perishable goods must be settled within eight days of receiving the order. For products with a shelf life of up to 30 days, as well as alcohol, you must pay no later than 40 days.
According to the source of the publication, the food market terms should be halved.
Alexey Popovichev, executive director of the Rusbrand association, believes that reducing the time of settlements with suppliers can reduce the rate of rise in product prices. According to him, now a number of retailers are delaying payment. Against this background, suppliers have to take loans, which ultimately increases the cost of production.
One of the largest suppliers noted that the approval of this initiative will require adjustments to the law on trade.
Earlier it was reported that food has replaced masks from the top 5 most popular products in Russia.
