Russian businessmen whose companies produce fertilizers and chemical products can count on easing sanctions from the European Union. This publication reports EUobserver.

Restrictions, in particular, will be eased for Andrey Guryev, Andrey and Alexandra Melnichenko, Dmitry Mazepin, Vyacheslav Kantor and Vadim Moshkovich. Now the assets of these entrepreneurs are frozen, and they also cannot obtain visas.

“On Thursday, an agreement was reached on the possibility of individual EU countries to unfreeze funds if this is required by financing the supply of fertilizers and products, especially to Africa”– writes the edition.

On the eve, we recall, Reuters reported that the European Union agreed on the ninth “portion” of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The Russian Foreign Ministry called Washington the key beneficiary of the bans.

On that day, the US Treasury added nine organizations from Russia and a number of officials of various ranks to its list of restrictions.
