The author of the electronic appeal believes that it is impossible to cut off cash payments to Ukrainian fighters while the country awaits the next attack from the Russian Federation.
Citizens of Ukraine are asking President Volodymyr Zelensky to return the canceled cash bonus of 30,000 to the Ukrainian army located outside the battlefield. The corresponding electronic petition was published on the official website of the head of state on January 31.
The author of the appeal to Zelensky was Vera Rusina. The woman believes that it is not the right time to cancel cash payments to Ukrainian fighters.
“I beg you to return the premium of 30,000 UAH to the soldiers. We have found something to save! You increase the salaries of the deputies and lower the salaries of the army,” said the author of the electronic document.
In his opinion, such a decision is unacceptable in a timely manner, especially given the risk of a second attack by the Russian Federation.
“Are we asking for weapons and equipment from the West and at the same time waving the purses of the country’s defenders?” Rusina asks.
The woman also recalls that last summer an electronic petition requesting a review of cash payments from 30 thousand to 50 thousand and from 100 thousand to 150 thousand to military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received the required 25,000 votes. handed over to the head of state. But the author of a new appeal stresses instead that the government made a “completely opposite decision.”
“You cannot get into the pockets of those on whom it depends today whether it will be possible to protect the state,” sums up Rusina.
At the time of the news release, his petition received 3,021 of the 25,000 votes to be considered by the president.
Recall that today, January 31, in their joint statement of the security and defense forces of Ukraine, they announced a change in the procedure for calculating additional payments to the Ukrainian army. From February 1, monetary rewards will directly depend on the areas where the warriors are located, the complexity and characteristics of the battle, or the specific missions they perform.
He also spoke about the upcoming changes to the cabinet. The government noted that the decision was taken to optimize state budget expenditures.
