What happened today?
Today, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of the martyr Isidore. He was a warrior during the reign of Emperor Decius. Then, when everyone else was pagan, Isidore remained faithful to Christ and to the faith. For this, he was subjected to terrible tortures and eventually even cut off his tongue. However, this did not prevent Isidore from glorifying Christ. Shortly after, his head was cut off.
