They want to defeat corruption and create favorable and equal conditions for all companies doing business with the help of tax reform in Ukraine.

The Office of the President expects to initiate a new tax reform that will reduce the VAT rate, income tax and personal income tax (PIT) to 10% in 2023. This was expressed by Rostislav Shurma, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.

According to him, work on the tax reform bill is almost completed, after the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

“I can assure everyone that we will not let this story go. Tax reform is a fundamental, right thing and will certainly be implemented this year,” said Rostislav Shurma.

He believes that with the help of the reform corruption in the tax field will be eliminated and the conditions for doing business will be the same for all companies.

“There are a lot of business people who pay their salaries in envelopes. I understand how difficult it is to compete with those who pay in envelopes because they save 40 percent in taxes. Our reform will change that and put everyone on an equal footing.” , – added the Vice President of the Presidency.

In addition to tax reform, Ukraine will simplify the transfer of agricultural land for industrial, energy, logistics or construction facilities. Authorities also want to compel the oblenergos to provide free capacities to connect new industrial facilities, thus eliminating the practice of bribery.
