According to the head of government, cereals and legumes were planted on the first lands.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the sowing campaign has begun in Ukraine. He wrote this on Facebook on March 12.
According to the head of government, the second October campaign has begun in Ukraine in the context of an all-out war with the Russian Federation. Currently, farmers have already planted 16,000 hectares of grains and legumes. He also noted that border crossings for agricultural products with Poland have been simplified.
Let’s add that in 2022, farmers planted 14.2 million hectares, 95% of the forecast, and 2.8 million hectares less than in 2021.
In addition, Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine’s energy system remained intact despite 15 major missile attacks by the Russian Armed Forces. For a week, the power engineers returned the light lost due to the shelling. The government has also allocated 5 million hryvnia from the budget for the implementation of an experiment to restore power facilities to meet wartime security requirements.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine also reported that the government has allocated subsidies of 10.2 billion hryvnia for the 17 regions and 853 communities most affected by the military attack. In some regions, additional funds are allocated for the construction of new military engineering and technical fortifications.
Recall, on January 10, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy announced that the planted areas will be redirected in 2023. Oilseeds will be planted mostly to increase income per hectare.
On December 30, 2022, Ukraine calculated losses from Russian aggression. Their amount is approximately 40 billion dollars.
