In the next two years, Russians will be able to choose their own providers for receiving social order services on the State Services portal. About it in the studio “Izvestia“Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexei Lavrov said at SPIEF-2023.
He noted that five million people are currently employed in the field of social order. This figure is growing every year. Lavrov pointed out that the list of service providers is expanding, and there are also opportunities to change the supplier if necessary.
“The same funding norms for state and non-state institutions are being introduced. In general, this area today is not so much a competition between the public sector and non-state associations, but a struggle for consumers between state institutions. And we see how the variety of support programs is growing, their quality is improving,” – Lavrov said.
According to him, the social order operates in 34 regions, four more have applied. Among the areas are social services, sports, palliative care, as well as additional education.
“As part of the program, a family is issued a certificate that can be submitted to any institution of additional education of their choice. The program is already running,” – Lavrov noted.
He also said that the current version of the law ends in 2024. It is not planned to expand it, the main task is to work out all the technologies to the end.
“For example, in 2023 they adopt a law on digitalization in the social sphere, citizens will be able to choose their service providers using electronic services. And 2024 is the final year for the pilot project, and we will discuss its further format,” Lavrov added.
