Subsidies in Ukraine: who could be deprived of aid in 2023?

According to Elena Okhrimenko, director of the PFC department, debts related to housing and communal services should not be allowed to exist so that money continues to flow uninterruptedly into the account.

Certain categories of Ukrainians will be deprived of subsidies under certain conditions. Olena Okhrimenko, Director of the Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the Suspilne TV channel.

According to him, this can happen if a citizen of Ukraine has accumulated debt in the last three months in excess of 680 hryvnia.

But if you pay off your debt, the effect of the subsidy will continue. Otherwise, the Pension Fund (PFU) will not enter into a restructuring agreement until the debt is paid off. Only then will a person be able to receive a subsidy.

Purpose of subsidies: who can count on payments?

The government decided to allocate social assistance if Ukrainians’ expenditure on public services exceeds 15% of the average monthly family income. This rule will apply during martial law and one month later.

In the heating season 2022/2023, Ukrainians received an average of up to 1,600 hryvnia of subsidies per month, and this autumn this amount may increase significantly due to the increase in electricity prices.

It is noteworthy that you no longer need to personally visit the relevant institutions for social payment transactions. You can perform all the procedures online on the “ДіЯ” or PFU portals (fill in the necessary forms and attach scanned copies of documents).

Previously Focus He was informed that the Ukrainians had to resort to subsidies so that there was nothing left. Citizens who, due to various circumstances, cannot pay their electricity bills on their own, can count on the help of the state.
