Most Ukrainians will buy gas at a price of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter, while for the rest, blue fuel will be slightly more expensive.
In September 2023, Ukrainians will be able to buy gas from twelve “blue fuel” suppliers. According to the GazPravda publication, the tariff ranges from 7.7 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter, depending on the supplier.
That is, for one cubic meter of supplied gas, seven suppliers demand less than 8 hryvnia and five more. At the same time, almost 98% of Ukrainian household gas consumers are currently customers of the gas supply company Naftogaz Ukrainy. These are 12.4 million households purchasing fuel at a guaranteed price of UAH 7.96 per cubic metre.

Annual tariff offers are valid until 1 May 2024. This means that the price of “blue fuel” will certainly not increase until the end of the 2023/2024 heating season.

Also on August 22, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to expand the PSO (special obligations) in the gas market, so the heat tariffs will not change either.
So, for enterprises producing heat for the population, HPK Naftogaz Trading LLC (subject to PSO) will sell gas at UAH 7,420 per thousand cubic meters, and for heat producers for budget organizations at UAH 16,390 per thousand cubic meters.
According to the Naftogaz group, gas prices will be reduced for other consumers compared to the previous season. The cost will be determined according to the formula, taking into account market prices in Ukraine.
A flexible mechanism for the constant use of gas by heat generators during the heating season has also been implemented. That is, if thermal energy producers save a fixed amount of gas resources in a given month, they will be able to use it later in the heating season.
