Wagons derailed in Ukraine: Ukrzaliznytsia warned about changes in the movement of a number of trains

The company rerouted a number of passenger trains on the Berdichev-Kozatin section. This occurred as a result of freight wagons derailing.

Many freight wagons derailed between Berdichev and Kazatin. The routes of some passenger trains have been changed. Ukrzaliznytsia reports this.

It is noted that the following trains will travel via Zhmerinka and Podvolochisk with a delay of up to 2 hours:

  • 7 Kyiv – Chernivtsi,
  • 95 Kyiv – Rakhiv,
  • 49 Kyiv – Truskavets.

Ukrzaliznytsia added that train number 23 Kiev – Chelm will follow the changed route via Korosten and Shepetivka with a delay of about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, the 78 Kovel – Odessa train will depart via Berdichev, Zhitomir, Fastov and Kazatin with a delay of up to 3 hours.

It is known that the Yasinya – Zaporozhye train number 6 will also choose a route via Shepetivka, Korosten and Fastov, with a possible delay of up to 3 hours, without stopping at Berdichev station.

The message warns that passengers from Berdichev on this flight in the direction of the Dnieper will be taken to Fastov by train number 78 and then transferred to the purchased seats.

“We are preparing to transfer the passengers of this flight to Berdichev to train number 88 in Fastov,” Ukrzaliznytsia said.

Let us remind you that the press service of the Kiev metro and the Kiev City State Administration reported that starting from Monday, October 2, the intervals between trains in the Kiev metro have been shortened.

Also, representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia said on September 15 that Ukrainian trains will be gradually equipped with Starlink Internet, but free Internet communication is expected to appear in each carriage by the end of 2023. This type of network connectivity and LTE is promised to be launched on 16 Intercity+ trains.
