According to the law, retirees who are over 80 years old, live alone, need constant care due to health reasons, or have received an old-age pension will be able to receive additional payments.
Pensioners in Ukraine have the opportunity to receive a very significant additional payment – its amount is 837 UAH. However, not everyone can apply; Only those who meet certain conditions can apply. This is notified by Cabinet Decision No. 261.

Some Ukrainians may be stripped of their pensions
It is worth noting that some Ukrainian pensioners face the threat of termination of their pension payments. For example, if there is no card transaction in the retirement account for 180 days (6 months), accruals may be stopped. Review and restoration of payments is only possible following a successful identification procedure.

- This practice is not new and has been in place for several years;
- Suspension of payments does not mean their complete cancellation – the pension is accumulated in the Pension Fund accounts, but is not transferred to the person’s card.
How can I continue my retirement payments?
To undergo identification and restore pension payments, you must complete the following steps:
- Contact the Pension Fund or bank;
- Video identification by the Pension Fund;
- Send a letter to the Pension Fund;
- Using the portal “Action. Subscription”.
After successful identification and completion of the procedure, pension payments can be withdrawn.
If the retiree is abroad, he must contact the local Ukrainian consulate. The consulate will provide the necessary information and advice regarding the procedure for determining and withdrawing pension payments.
