Poles unblocked one of the checkpoints on the border with Ukraine for several days – State Border Security Service

Polish border guards reported that they were allowing trucks to pass through the Ugrinov-Dolgobiczow checkpoint as usual. This will last until April 2.

The blocking of truck traffic in both directions at the Ugrinov-Dolgobiczow checkpoint has temporarily ended. Drivers and carriers are requested to take this information into consideration. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

“According to the information we received from our Polish colleagues, the passage of freight transport on Polish territory in front of the Ugrinov-Dolgobichuv border crossing point is carried out as usual. 120 trucks are waiting here to cross the border. At the same time, the side next door says that the rhythmic crossing of heavy trucks will continue approximately until April 2 reported.” it is said in the message.

The State Border Service asked drivers and carriers to take this information into account.

Let us remind you that yesterday, March 27, even at unblocked checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border, queues formed due to trucks using them more actively than in blocked directions. Polish farmers continued to block three directions on the Ukrainian border. They specifically mentioned the checkpoints “Yagodin”, “Rava-Russkaya” and “Ugrinov”.

On March 9, Polish farmers announced their intention to protest in every commune and threatened to paralyze the work of all institutions and organizations due to road closures.

At the same time, Polish Sejm deputy Pawel Kowal said on March 13 that the issue of farmers closing the border could be resolved within a few weeks.
