In front of the altars, families live together and share traditional food as if it were a party where the souls of their loved ones are received.

“We are celebrating, we are in the so-called All Saints’ Day, this is a holiday for them, we do not see them, but we imagine that they are here, that they have arrived.

We decorate the altars so that they come home with pleasure,” Aurora’s niece shared.

Each family that comes to the altar to make an offering receives a plate of food, and thus a meeting between the dead and the living takes place, ending at midnight.
