Thalia reveals that she worked with the platonic love of her youth, which she still sighs about.

Singer Thalia admitted that in addition to admiring David Summers, the leader and vocalist of “Hombres G”, this artist was her platonic love as a teenager. so now meeting him and working with him is very interesting for her.

“Every time he texts me or we talk, I scream” recognized the singer.

As he told El País this week about the documentary series and his new album, both titled Thalia’s Mixtape: The Soundtrack of My Life: “It looks like it came off the posters in my bedroom when I was a teenager. I’m excited because it was my first love. I mean, it’s David Summers, damn it.”

The series, which will premiere, consists of three episodes, in which the translator “Arrasando” gives an overview of the songs and bands that marked her youth and adolescence, especially in the rock genre in Spanish.

In an interview, Talia revealed that the creation of the album and series began in 2019 when she heard “Give me back my girlfriend.”

“In the summer of 2019, when I was driving my car, I heard “Give me back my girlfriend” and this dream began in my head: I wanted to see David Summers crash that white Ford Fiesta and set that yellow jumper on fire.”told.

The dream of the eternal “Marimar” came true when David Summers joined the list of artists who perform duets with her on her new album.

“When I contacted him (David) and started talking to him, I explained the project to him. and that I wanted to be a bridge between generations, and that we amplify the whole message. When He said yes, I hung up and started screaming, I’m crazy”Thalia opened.

In addition, in another interview with Vanity Fair, the artist detailed that her work is dedicated to “fan project, I’m a fan who is looking for them, a fan who asks them to explain to me what is behind each song, how the lyrics came about, and hopefully even sing these songs with them.”

David Summers allowed him to make changes to his song

For Talia, it is very important that her “platonic love” allowed her to make a slight change in the lyrics of “Give me back my girl.” The original lyric says “I’m going to get my revenge on that fagot*”, but she replaced that.

“I explained to David that I am the most fag*, a great ally of the LGBT community, I have always been in all my projects, in all my songs, I have always supported the community. I wanted this project to be able to reach the entire audience without any censorship of anything,” he explained and ruled that he was allowed to make changes.
