Poor-quality lenses of sunglasses will certainly harm the eyes, said ophthalmologist Tatyana Shilova. You need to choose them in optics salons.

“For use in the city, options with UV400 are optimal. For trips to the sea and to the mountains, special models with increased protection will be required. If a person has poor eyesight, you can choose sunglasses with optical correction”– Tatyana Shilova, an ophthalmologist, a leading Russian expert in laser vision correction ReLEx SMILE, shared with Gazeta.ru.

People with nearsightedness or farsightedness who find it inconvenient to wear glasses all the time may also benefit from specialized contact lenses.

According to the expert, you should choose glasses or lenses with ultraviolet protection at an appointment with a qualified doctor. Tatyana Shilova advised not to neglect this, as bad sun exposure can lead to pain, tearing, or even complete loss of vision.

Earlier it became known about the accident in a beauty salon in St. Petersburg. During the eyelash extension procedure, the girl received a burn of the conjunctiva and cornea due to the inattention of the master.
