Poland ready to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine: status name

According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Warsaw is providing real military aid to the Ukrainians as it is not interested in the revival of the Russian empire by Vladimir Putin.

As part of military assistance, Poland may transfer aviation, including F-16 warplanes, to Ukraine, but only in coordination with NATO countries. This was announced on 30 January by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during his visit to the site of the 18th mechanized division in the city of Siedlce.

During the press conference, one of the journalists asked if Poland could transfer multipurpose F-16 warplanes to Ukraine.

Morawiecki recalled that official Warsaw, together with its allies in the North Atlantic Alliance, coordinated all actions aimed at strengthening the defense of Kiev. In this context, the Prime Minister talked about the procurement of Patriot air defense systems and Leopard 2 tanks.

According to Morawiecki, the issue of providing F-16 fighter jets will also be discussed with NATO colleagues.

“All this (delivery of heavy weapons and air defense systems – ed.) was pressure from our side and agreements with the USA … As a few months ago, in the context of MIG fighters, any other aviation vehicle will be possible F-16 to Ukraine Answering a clear question about the procurement of warplanes, the Prime Minister said, “It was implemented and probably transferred in agreement with NATO countries. We will act in full coordination.”

Commenting on the provision of real military aid to Kiev, Morawiecki said Poland is not interested in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ability to revive the Russian empire, which poses a threat to both Ukrainians and Poles.

After Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the possible transfer of F-16s, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak confirmed that work is underway for the delivery of multi-role fighter jets to Ukraine. According to him, Kyiv is receiving positive signals from its Polish counterparts about the supply of aviation, which they are ready to hand over to our country in coordination with NATO.

“Tanks, warriors, it’s a great company to turn Russian enemies into fertilizer,” Yermak wrote on his Telegram channel.

A few days ago, the White House reported that the United States and its allies were ready to “very carefully” discuss the transfer of F-16 multi-role warplanes to Ukraine. John Feiner, deputy national security adviser to the presidential administration, stressed that the United States has never ruled out sending weapons of any kind, trying to adapt military assistance to the phase of the war the Ukrainian army is in.

Following the White House’s announcement, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov hinted at the possible delivery of F-16 warplanes. The senior official released a reference video on the operation of multi-purpose aviation, as part of the positive decision of the allies.
