Arakhamia removed the people’s deputy from the post of vice-president by a single majority. SAP said the investigation has been ongoing since January 26.
Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin approved the SAPO petition to amend the ERDR in connection with the fact of possible illegal enrichment of the deputy of the people from the “Servant of the People” Pavel Khalimon. This became known from the material “Ukrinform”.
SAPO vice-president Andrei Sinyuk briefed reporters about the entry of information into the registry.
Earlier, on January 23, Ukrayinska Pravda published an investigation into the house of a people’s deputy in the Pechersky district of the capital. Pavel Khalimon bought a property worth tens of millions of hryvnia in the center of Kiev in the summer: Journalists found that the house was sold in June 2022. Kotelenets Anastasia Nikolaevna became its real owner, but the people’s deputy appeared there every day. In addition to the house in Pechersk, Kotelenets bought 45 plots of land with a total area of about 80 hectares in the Chernihiv region.
As previously reported FocusOn the same January 23, David Arakhmia announced his resignation from his position as acting deputy of Pavel Khalimon. The head of the Servant of the People faction noted that if a people’s deputy has “a few million extra”, he has to help the state.
On February 1, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) discovered that Pavel Khalimon could enrich himself by 10 million. The cost of the property mentioned in the investigation is UAH 10.3 million. The official income of the people’s attorney during the period of buying a house was almost 10 times less – one and a half million.
