If you are smart enough to win the war: Journalist Tkach responds to Reznikov about the proposed bet

The author of the publication on the purchase of public uniforms for Ukrainian defenders advised the minister to conclude contracts on market prices rather than on bets.

Mikhail Tkach, the author of a journalistic investigation into the purchase of winter jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, responded to Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov, who offered to place a bet. The researcher’s article was published on his Facebook page.

The publication says that after reports of the Ministry of Defense buying eggs for 17 UAH, Reznikov should resign and report at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada committee after information about the winter jackets appeared. The minister, however, decided not to do so.

According to Tkach, in a recently published material on jackets, the nephew of the people’s deputy from the “Servants” is said to be the owner of a company that supplies jackets to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and makes money from it.

The journalist noted that the head of the Ministry of Defense tried to put pressure on the media instead of refuting this claim.

Mikhail Tkach advised the minister not to offer bets, ensure that purchases are transparent and cooperate with law enforcement.

“And a warring country’s minister of defense can only afford to bet when he is smart enough to defeat the enemy, non-publicly and only through strategic planning, including the purchase of winter uniforms, protective equipment, and most importantly, drones.” broadcast says.

The journalist promised to continue his activities and advised the minister to sign contracts at market prices, not with relatives of deputies.

“In three years, you, Mr. Minister, may not be in the country. I will continue to do my job,” Tkach wrote.

Recall that Reznikov offered a bet in response to the publication of a video about scandalous purchases of jackets for Ukrainian defenders. He said in his interview that he was ready to resign if the allegations were confirmed. But if it turns out that the notorious 180,000 jackets are still winter and not summer, then the minister proposes to resign from the post of people’s deputy Anastasia Radina and suspend the professional activities of the “UP” broadcast journalist Mikhail Tkach for three years .

It was also reported that representatives of the Verkhovna Rada will apply to the NABU because of the scandalous purchase of jackets.
