Win your second Super Bowl and retire: Chad Henn says goodbye to grid with Instagram post

Chad Hennreserve guard for Patrick Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs, announced his retirement with social media post.

Through a post he posted on his Instagram account, the two-time winner NFL broke the news after receiving a second ring in Super Bowl in which his team won Philadelphia Eagles.

“I’m retiring. I finish with a beer and another ring“Wrote the player in the social network.

Henn came very close to taking the field to play in the Super Bowl against Philadelphia because Mahomes was causing discomfort with an ankle injury; however, he decided not to miss the game, and although he limped at times, thanks to his genius late in the game, the Chiefs defeated their opponent.

The 37-year-old quarterback won both titles in Kansas City, although he did so in the shadow of Mahomes on both occasions; However, he responded well whenever the team needed him, even leading in 98-yard touchdowns after Mahomes injured his ankle early in the team’s 27-20 divisional round victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last month.

However, this ended his career after 15 years in the NFL, as he arrived in the league in 2008 as a second-round pick with the Miami Dolphins. He played there for four seasons, then five more with Jacksonville before signing with Kansas City in 2018.

Numbers he’s leaving with: 78 games played, 54 as a starter, 1,200 of 2015 passes for 13,290 yards with 60 touchdowns and 63 interceptions.
