Italian Serie B player drank beer after exiting trade and drove fans crazy

Finnish footballer Joel Pohjanpalo drove fans crazy during a Serie B match between FC Venezia and SPAL as his coach replaced him with 10 minutes left when he decided to go to the stands and look for a beer to drink.

Before heading to the bench, the 28-year-old made a technical stop in the stadium stands at the foot of the field and was seen leaving with a plastic cup full of beer.

This fact became known thanks to a video that, with the speed of a forest fire, scattered across various social networks. The boldness, safety, and curiosity of the image touched the fans in attendance, and they ended up applauding and ranting about the player.

The clip shows that as soon as he removed the drink, Pohyanpalo responded to the call of a fan in the stands, with whom he took a selfie.

It was in that match that Joel was a figurehead thanks to the two assists he gave to his teammates Tessanne and Pierini which resulted in the points that helped them win the match.

Pohjanpalo was born in Helsinki, Finland. And although he is now a second division player, he is one of the main figures of FC Venezia. He spent most of his career in Germany after graduating from the HJK Helsinki youth academy.

He went through clubs such as Hamburg, Union Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen. Little known to many, but he boasts that he plays for the Finnish national team and scored a goal against Denmark at the last Euro 2020 Cup.
