Gold Cup groups ready: Mexico and the US already know their rivals

The groups that will make up the next Gold Cup, which will be played between Canada and the USA from June 26 to July 16, are already known.. The Mexico national team fell into a group in which they are considered favorites, while the United States played in a very accessible group.

The United States wants to ratify its “Giant of Concacaf” status, and Mexico wants to display the moniker again.while the Canadian national team is also aiming to be one of the region’s new strengths, leaving behind Costa Rica, another seeded player in this tournament.

USA in Group A

The United States, the reigning Koncacafe champions, make up Group A along with Jamaica, Nicaragua and the winner of the Preliminary 9.that is, unless something extraordinary happens, then the one chosen from the Stars and Stripes must be passing from the group.

Perhaps the toughest exam is against Jamaica, a brave team against the mighty of this world that arrives with a poster about playing in the 1998 World Cup, however, the United States is far superior to the man, and on paper he should pass as the first of the group

Mexico in Group B

The Mexican national team will face the ever-responsive eleventh player from Honduras, the Qatar World Cup and the Haiti national team.. A group that at first glance may seem difficult, but which those who lead Diego Cocca must overcome without any inconvenience.

The Mexican team on paper is far superior to the team of three opponents.despite the fact that they still haven’t found their game, this tournament is perfect to start a good preparation for the 2026 process.

Costa Rica and Canada top their respective groups

Team Costa Rica leads Group C against Panama and El Salvador., in addition to the winner of the preliminary match between Suriname and Puerto Rico. Considering the recent performances, it can be said that there will be a struggle between Costa Rica, Panama and El Salvador, always with little favoritism for Tico, but given the latter, what happened to them in the League of Nations.

Canada is in Group D as an emerging power in the region and will face Guatemala, Cuba and the winner of the Preliminary 7. The Canadians are undoubtedly big favorites to win in this vein.
