The world’s largest half marathon “Zabeg.RF” has started in dozens of Russian cities. Hundreds of thousands of sports fans took part in the competition, including correspondents “Izvestia” Murad Magomedov and Vladislav Tamosauskas.

“Participants run different distances. Juniors – 1 km, beginners – 5 km, amateurs like me – 10 km. Well, professionals overcome 20 km”– Murad Magomedov reports from a running trail in Makhachkala.

According to one of the participants in the race from Krasnoyarsk, she decided to participate in the half marathon because she wanted “the mood of summer, celebration and joy.” A nice bonus is to test yourself for endurance.

“In general, it’s an addiction. If you don’t run for a long time, a good breakdown begins. The most difficult thing is to get up from the couch, and running is a pleasure”– another participant of Zabeg.RF shares with Tamosauskas.

For some Russians, participation in the race has already become a family holiday.

“This is already a family holiday. We run with the whole family. This is a surge of energy, a boost of energy”– says another resident of Krasnoyarsk.

It should be noted that in 2023 Zabeg.RF went beyond the borders of Russia. Now such marathons are also held in China, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan under the name One Run.
