Spartak Moscow football player Quincy Promes reacted to the publication on Instagram* of information about his detention at Dubai Airport with an emoji meaning a lie.
The 32-year-old football player put an emoji with a blue cap under the publication of The shade room account, which in the slang of social network users means a lie, distrust of the message or deceit.
Let us remind you that on February 29 it became known that Promes was not allowed on the plane on which the Spartak players were flying to Russia from the UAE. According to journalist Ivan Karpov, the reason for Promes’ detention was a traffic accident: the football player had an accident and fled the scene.
At the same time, it became known that the Netherlands and the UAE authorities are discussing the extradition of the Spartak football player. Earlier in February, a court sentenced Promes to six years in prison for cocaine smuggling.
On the evening of March 1, RIA Novosti, citing a police source, stated that the Dutch football player was released from custody.
