Traffic overloaded: problems with the Internet in parts of Ukraine after the bombardment, – Mintsifra

According to Mikhail Fedorov, base stations and fixed line operators switched to generators as much as possible. Now the problem with the delivery of diesel fuel is resolved.

Internet traffic dropped after Russia’s massive missile attack on Ukrainian regions. This happened due to emergency power outages. The head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, spoke about this on his social networks.

According to the minister, base stations and fixed line operators switched to generators as much as possible. At the same time, the mobile operators on which the towers operate are overloaded with traffic.

The department under Fedorov is currently centrally engaged in the distribution of diesel fuel and solves other operational tasks.

“It is a challenge that no country has seen in the field of telecommunications. As in other fields,” he commented.

He also noted that the team knew what to do and worked well.

Recall, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, said that about 80% of the residents of the capital are left without electricity and water supply. He warned that at the moment, the timing of the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure is difficult to predict.

Previously Focus He wrote that European cities will send hundreds of generators to Ukraine. This will happen as part of the “Generators of Hope” campaign launched in the EU.
