Ukraine has started mass production of Dovbush T10 drones: how do they work on the front line?

Engineers have so far supplied the Armed Forces only reconnaissance versions, but they plan to create an assault modification soon.

Serial production of the new Dovbush T10 reconnaissance aircraft has begun in Ukraine. According to TSN, the project organizer and Monobank co-founder Vladimir Yatsenko gave details about the broadcast of the 1+1 TV channel.

According to him, the developers have been creating an unmanned aircraft almost from the very beginning of a full-scale war, and now they have started the production of UAVs in one of the European countries. For almost six months, they waited for the opportunity to stop buying Chinese components and get modern equipment that allowed them to manufacture their own. As a result, not only the quality of drones has increased, but also their number – now the company produces more than ten drones per day and transfers them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for free.

“This is a very serious figure that will certainly be significant for our armed forces,” said Vladimir Yatsenko. said.

He added that advanced hardware and software make Dovbush virtually vulnerable to Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems. However, the Russians can still disrupt the satellite navigation signals, and the success of the mission is entirely dependent on the skill of the operator. The main weakness of the drone is its sensitivity to weather conditions (fog, high winds, frost) and developers are trying to fix this shortcoming.

Today “Dovbushes” works along the entire front line. Now the Ukrainian army near Bakhmut needs “eyes” that will allow the Russian Armed Forces to detect small sabotage groups attacking day and night – this is exactly what Dovbush was designed to do. The drone is equipped with conventional cameras and thermal cameras for target detection.

“As for the required number of drones constantly operating on the front, my assessment has not changed in recent months – we need 500-600 UAVs that will control the area 24/7. That is, at least one drone every 10 km. front, more than a thousand kilometers. stretches out,” he stressed.

As Vladimir Yatsenko explained, the model was originally designed for reconnaissance missions and fire tuning, but can be converted into a shock model, the question is how accurately Dovbush can attack. If the designers manage to achieve an error of 1-2 meters, the drone will be on par with foreign devices. According to Vladimir Yatsenko, in a few months they will be able to create such a high-precision weapon for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, they wrote that an “invisible” Ukrainian UAV “Elf” was created in Kharkov. The military has already tested the aircraft in combat conditions and learned: it allows you to successfully locate Russian electronic warfare systems.

By the way, domestic unmanned aerial vehicles “Koldun” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are assembled in Dnipro. The head of the Model Aircraft Federation of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Dmitry Panchenko, said that the developers have begun mass production of the devices.
