Peugeot will lead to the debut new mild hybrid units throughout the year, as announced at the recent E-Lion Day. In 2008 it is possible that new thrusters will arrive at the same time at the start of restyling. Only one loader of the updated version of this model was intercepted on the roads.
The camouflage is only present at the rear of the car, but that doesn’t mean 2008 won’t get an aesthetic upgrade at the front as well with the advent of the facelift. It may be a prototype with partial novelties. It can be imagined that future forklifts could be equipped with more innovations and therefore camouflage on the front.
Anyway, new spy photos allow us to understand that we are dealing with an endothermic version of 2008. The camouflage at the back prevents us from seeing the details of the new products, but it is likely that some changes will affect the bumper and light clusters. The future production model could also be offered with new exterior colors and redesigned alloy wheels.
While waiting to see if there will be changes to the front, spy photos show interiors that appear to be uncoated. Therefore, restyling may not bring much innovation to the interior, with the exception of the appearance of new trim and an update to the infotainment system.
As for engines, as it was said at the beginning, Peugeot intends to debut with units equipped with the so-called system Peugeot Hybrid 48B which consists of a new generation PureTech gasoline engine with 100 hp. or 136 hp coupled with a new 6-speed dual clutch transmission and a 21 kW (29 hp) electric motor.
In addition, for the e-2008 version, a new power unit, already installed on the e-208, with a 156 hp electric motor, may appear. It remains only to wait for news about the debut of Peugeot 2008 restyling.
