Mini Shark is a small Ukrainian aircraft designed for operational reconnaissance, which the developer presented in April 2023.
A new Ukrainian aircraft Mini Shark, manufactured by Ukrspecsystems, will be shown at the international defense exhibition IDEF-2023 in Istanbul. Information about this has surfaced on the company’s official Facebook page.
Do not forget that IDEF is an international defense industry fair. It is among the TOP-10 events of this type, according to experts. It will be held for the 16th time this year and will be held in Istanbul (Turkey) from 25 to 28 July. Ukraine’s technological innovation will be presented at the booth of NAUDI partners.
What is the Ukrainian plane Mini Shark
This is the smallest drone produced by Ukrspecsystems. Thanks to its portability, the drone is easy to transport and move to required locations.
The drone and its essentials can be carried in two backpacks. Despite its size, the developers have equipped the UAV with the same technologies as “full-fledged” drones.
Mini Shark became the “heir” to the full-size Shark drone, which the manufacturer launched in 2022. However, despite its size, the new drone is capable of performing the same tasks as the others, but in slightly smaller volumes.
The drone is designed for operational reconnaissance. It can locate ground targets and transmit data to artillery, special forces groups and ground forces.

Recall that on April 27, Ukrspecsystems introduced a new drone model for the military, called MiniShark, at the Brave1 platform exhibition. The new UAV is designed for reconnaissance and search for ground targets that can later be destroyed by artillery, ground forces or special units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And in December 2022, Ukrspecsystems modified the Ukrainian Shark reconnaissance drones, adding a larger battery and larger wings. Because of this, the flight time was doubled – from 2 hours to 4 hours.
