In Ukraine, a paid camera reservation service in a pre-trial detention center has become popular
In Ukraine, they plan to launch online recording of paid cameras in a pre-trial detention centre. This was announced during the telethon by Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska.
According to him, such an idea arose due to high demand. Paid cameras work throughout Ukraine. In particular, they “always fall short” in the Kiev pre-trial detention center, where all paid cameras are located. With the advent of online booking, this process will become transparent.
“We did not expect such a huge demand for paid cameras. So we are planning to launch an online booking facility there. It will be like a reservation with a queue feature,” said Denis Malyuska.
He noted that the money from the paid cells allowed the detention centers to keep everything in more or less proper condition and repair their own buildings.
In contrast, the cost of a paid camera in each isolator is different.
In particular, in Kiev SIZO one day costs 2,000 hryvnia, a week – 8,000 hryvnia, and a month – 12,000 hryvnia. Whereas, the cost of the camera in the Ivano-Frankivsk penitentiary is the lowest: 290 hryvnia per day, 991 hryvnia per week and 1699 hryvnia per month. You can pay for the camera on the House of Justice website.
Recall that earlier the head of the Ministry of Justice spoke about the possibility of being in a paid cell of a more comfortable pre-trial detention center. You can pay for your camera online, but you can also buy “gift certificates” for your friends.
Focus He also wrote about what a paid cell looks like in a pre-trial detention center. The cell has a refrigerator, air conditioning, TV.
