“Leaky air defense”: Ukraine can bypass Russian defense, – military expert

According to Vladislav Seleznev, we will not know the details of the consequences of the latest attack on Moscow due to Russian propaganda, but Bellingcat investigators assure that after the drone attacks there was damage in the Russian capital.

On July 24, explosions occurred near the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This indicates that the Russians have “leaky air defense” and therefore important military installations should continue the offensive. This was explained by military expert Vladislav Seleznev in an interview with OBOZREVATEL.

“It is clear that the explosions hit the most protected area of Moscow. This means that the Russians have holes in their air defenses, they can and must be passed through, launching massive attacks on important military installations,” said Vladislav Seleznev.

He noted that the main task of the Ukrainian army during the counteroffensive is to destroy the Russian military potential, ammunition depots, armored vehicles, weapons, logistics centers, roads, command posts, command and communication centers and decision-making centers.

According to the expert, the story with Moscow is about a decision-making center and facilities “responsible for planning and organizing certain military operations.” In particular, on July 24, the drone arrived near the building of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, where the main situational center of the enemy Armed Forces and certain cyber defense units of the main office of the General Staff are located. He believes we won’t know the details of the consequences of the attack due to Russian propaganda, but Bellingcat investigative journalist Christo Grozev said the damage continued.

Vladislav Seleznev separately reminded that the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, announced that the attacks against Moscow would continue.

Recall that on July 24, a drone attacked a building near the Ministry of Defense in the center of Moscow. Shoigu confirmed the drone attacks and accused Ukraine of a “terrorist attack”. The Russian Federation also said that there was no serious damage due to the suppression of unmanned aerial vehicles with electronic warfare systems.

Also on July 24, another UAV crashed in New Moscow, RossSMI reported that a helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle had crashed.

Whereas a military expert, reserve colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Sergey Grabsky, said that Russian air defense is Soviet systems not designed to fight drones.
