“Blood feud” in Chechnya: Kadyrov allowed security forces to punish relatives of murderers

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard should not leave those who commit murder with impunity. Chechnya’s president, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that if the culprits are not found, their relatives will be held responsible for their actions.

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov allowed security forces to carry out a “vendetta” against the relatives of the murderers. This was reported by Moscow Times.

In his meeting with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard of the Republic, he noted that the security forces in Chechnya should not leave those who committed murder with impunity. However, if the culprits are not found, their relatives can be held responsible for their actions.

“We will not continue to search for anyone who disrupts public order or touches a police officer or a guest of the republic, even if we cannot find them. We will find their loved ones. It has been like this since time immemorial. For us, it is like this: If we cannot find the criminal, we will declare the revenge of his brother, his father,” said Ramzan Kadyrov.

According to him, the situation is that the relatives of the murderer simply do not own the person and do not bear responsibility. Kadyrov noted that “not a single refusal of the relative was of any use” until a member of the family was killed and the right to vendetta was taken away.

What happened before the “feud” emerged?

In his Telegram message on December 30, Kadyrov noted that the flow of tourists to Chechnya is increasing every year, so it is important for their stay in the republic to be safe and calm. He also said there should be “special control” over the fight against “extremist and terrorist propaganda”.

According to Kadyrov, he observed on social networks how young people from abroad are encouraged to commit serious crimes. However, any attempt to attack a person’s life will also affect the perpetrator’s relatives.

“If anyone believes that they have the right to zombify young people outside the country, then they are very mistaken. If such situations arise, we will nip it very hard and nip it in the bud, so that others will think a thousand times before allowing themselves to be used,” he said.

Ramzan Kadyrov added that close relatives should know what the family representative is doing and bear his responsibility.

Let us remember that on December 13, President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov said on December 13 that the Russia-Ukraine war could end in the summer of 2024. According to him, if he had made this decision, they would have ended the war within three months.

It became known that on December 4, an unidentified person appeared in Tyumen (Russia) with a poster that read: “Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov is a thief, a murderer, a disgrace of Russia.” Police teams caught the person and took him to the police station.
