Therefore, the Japanese automaker announced the release of its new electric vehicles. from 2025 onwards they will be initially equipped North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector.

Honda recalls that it has agreed to become part of a joint venture between seven automakers (BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes and Stellantis) to create a large-scale high-power electric vehicle charging network in North America. .


Despite this commitment, the Japanese automaker’s battery-powered vehicles will be able to refuel at Tesla Superchargers in North America thanks to the adoption of the new standard. In this way, the manufacturer aims to make it easier for its customers to recharge electric vehicles.

Honda hasn’t said anything about the availability of a possible adapter that would allow vehicles with a NACS connector to also be able to charge at CCS charging stations. So with this announcement, the number of car manufacturers choosing to adopt Elon Musk’s company’s charging standard continues to grow.
