BMW still working about updating its Series 1. Over time, we have already seen several spy photos of the facelift. Now new images have emerged showing what appears to be sportier M135i.
Interestingly, some documents have surfaced in the past indicating that BMW will recode the car from F40 to F70, suggesting that the update was more than a simple facelift. However, the current model was introduced in 2019 and is therefore likely to be a facelift.
The car is the main character of the new spy photo it still appears to be camouflaged with a film covering the body so that the design changes are not visible. However, there are a few things to note. The fact that this is a sportier version can be understood from some elements.
For example, we find more sophisticated front end with larger air intakes, sports suspension and 4 tailpipes at the rear. There is also a small spoiler at the end of the roof. In addition, at the front we can also see a new large trapezoidal air intake and headlights with a new light signature.
Behind it, you won’t see any special innovations, but there will likely be some changes to the bumper and new headlight graphics. As for the interior, the images don’t give us a peek. However, some pictures have previously shown that the dashboard will have a styling very similar to that of the new 2 Series Active Tourer.
Mechanically speaking, the more powerful M135i, which some rumors say could be renamed the M140i, should still have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, but with more power than the current one (306 hp). All that remains is to wait for the launch of the new model to better understand the innovations that BMW intends to introduce. The debut of the new model should take place during 2024.
