Terminal Autonomy, the American manufacturing company born from the startup company One Way Aerospace, announced the successful completion of the supply for the combat deployment of the AQ 400 Scythe system.

In an official statement, the company said that its current production capacity is 100 units per month, which marks a significant leap forward in the field of strategic military capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The company also announced ambitious plans to increase production fivefold.

Long-range UAV AQ 400 Scythe – features

AQ 400 Scythe is a long-range kamikaze drone. Among its technical features:

  • flight range – up to 750 km;
  • launch conditions – from short runways or catapults;
  • takeoff weight – 100 kg;
  • carrying capacity – up to 32 kg (with the possibility of increasing to 70 kg by reducing the range);
  • wingspan – 2.3 m;
  • cruising speed – 144 km/h.

Distinctive features:

  • quick assembly;
  • possibility of mass production;
  • economic efficiency.

These features make the AQ 400 Scythe a key asset in modern warfare, providing strategic advantages on the battlefield, the publication writes.

The production of the AQ 400 Scythe is carried out through a network of small businesses and engineering firms specializing in the production of similar platforms. Although the company purchases some components from outside Ukraine, primarily from Germany and the UK, the priority of the project is the maximum localization of production within Ukraine.

Let us remind you that the military said when unmanned aerial vehicles will surpass artillery and “become the main means of destruction.” Every month, fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly using domestic FPV drones, as well as Western European drones.
