Special inserts in automobile tires for military pickup trucks are being tested in Ukraine. This was announced on Facebook by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.

“We are testing “armored wheels” for combat pickups with the Ukrainian RunFlat technology – Brave1 (a cluster for the development of Defense Technology in Ukraine – ed.),” said Mikhail Fedorov.

He stated that RunFlat is a special part found in automobile tires that allows the car to move on flat or damaged wheels. According to Fedorov, this is especially true during the evacuation of the wounded, the performance of a combat mission or the delivery of supplies to the Ukrainian army. In particular, combatants will not need to stop and expose themselves to danger as they can continue advancing to safety.

Mikhail Fedorov noted that Ukrainian RunFlat tips are not inferior to world models, they are made of materials that are not subject to premature destruction. The development team plans to start mass production and expand the model range to large armored vehicles.

“Armored wheels are just one of the developments that will help defenders protect the most valuable thing – life,” Fedorov added.

Let us remind you that on December 29, Senior Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Basyuk said that they had started the production of modified Tsukorok devices that help detect enemy drones in Vinnitsa. He noted that the first batch was delivered to Ukrainian soldiers in the “hot” areas of the front.

It became known that on December 26, National Guard soldiers tested new explosive devices in the Zaporozhye direction, which can be used as charges for FPV drones. In particular, certain types of clothing were checked.
