“Rule changers in this war”: Fedorov urges Ukrainians to collect FPV drones at home

According to the Minister of Digital Transformation, Ukrainians will be able to receive free training and assemble drones with their own hands.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov addressed all Ukrainian citizens and urged them to take a free course on how to independently assemble FPV drones at home. He reported this on Facebook.

“Ukrainians are constantly creating great initiatives to help the Defense Forces. I would like to mention one of them – the People’s Drone project of the Dignitas technology aid fund Victory Drones. This is an engineering course that will teach you how to build a 7-inch FPV drone at home .” he wrote.

According to Fedorov, throughout the training process, all participants will be able to access lessons via the Zoom platform, where specially trained instructors will be present. A list of components required for assembly and recommendations for tools and materials to purchase will also be provided.

“In addition, you will be able to join a community of engineers where you can get advice and ask questions,” he added.

As the Minister of Digital Transformation explained, the drone passes assembly quality controls and weight tests, and if it passes the test successfully, it is sent to the front to help the army.

Fedorov emphasized that education is completely free.

According to him, participants in the course have already delivered over 100 unmanned aerial vehicles to the army. More than 80% of them have been successfully tested by Victory Drones instructors. The Minister noted that this figure was too high for the pilot parliament.

“FPV drones have changed the rules of the game in this war. Join the project and join the victory,” he insisted.

Let us recall that FPV-type kamikaze drones appeared in Ukraine, capable of performing combat missions in conditions of poor visibility and even at night. The drone accurately transfers the image to the operator’s monitor and captures even human figures clearly. This quality was achieved due to the fact that the equipment is equipped with a thermal imaging camera.

And in November 2023, it became known that the Russians began to use FPV drones even at night. According to experts, the Russian army can use both budget and more expensive cameras for night raids, but these are not yet full-fledged thermal imagers.
