Scarbo Vintage revealed his latest project: lo Scarbo SV Rover. Described as “the world’s first hypertruck“, this car combines the legacy left by classic Land Rover Defender and modern performance typical of a hypercar. Therefore, it is very different from other similar projects such as Signature Series 001.
DesignSV Rover clearly comes from Defender, with a body that combines carbon fiber and aluminum for lightness and strength. The interior, although spartan, offers Alcantara and aluminum inserts, as well as two large displays (12.3″ digital instrument cluster and 12.8″ infotainment screen).
The car is equipped with two different power units: Centrally located V8 engine producing 1,115 hp. and an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and fully electric version with a power of 1020 hp, which, among other things, also includes 75 kWh lithium-ion battery. Although Scarbo Vintage has not yet provided details about the EV’s autonomy, the performance promises to be really interesting.
It doesn’t end there: Scarbo SV Rover offers the opportunity choosing between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The vehicle features 76 cm of wheel travel front and rear, adjustable air suspension and four-wheel steering for maximum maneuverability and off-road capability.
20″ wheels with 40″ solid tires. Carbon ceramic brake discs with a diameter of 400 mm. and six-piston Brembo calipers promise the high-performance braking required for a car of this performance.
With a starting price of $1.5 million – 1.4 million euros (second Motor control), the new Scarbo SV Rover is positioned as an extreme luxury vehicle with the characteristics of a trophy truck, as emphasized by the CEO. Joe Scarbo.
