XPENG will debut in Germany with the G9 SUV and P7 sedan on March 28, 2024. 4

XPENG continues to advance its growth strategy in Europe. Now the Chinese automaker has announced its own official entry into the German market where will it be sold G9 SUV and P7 sedan. After Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark, the time has come for the German market.

The Chinese company does not intend to stop there. In fact, the company has already announced that during the year it will also enter other European markets, including the Italian one. At the moment, there is still no accurate information for our country. Germany will be a very important market for XPENG and will have a major impact on its growth strategy in the Old Continent.

The automaker will sell its electric vehicles in Germany through a series of agreements with select dealerships. XPENG models will initially be offered by 12 retailers in 24 cities. Sales will begin in May.

XPENG G9 and P7

The XPEG G9 electric SUV, which we have already talked about several times, will be offered in 3 versions in Germany.

  • Standard Series RWD: single 230 kW motor, 78.2 kWh battery (LFP), price €57,600.
  • Long-range rear-wheel drive: single motor 230 kW, battery 98 kWh (NMC) and price 62,300 euros.
  • Four-wheel drive: dual motor with a total output of 405 kW (0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds), 98 kWh battery (NMC) and price 69,600 euros.

Rear-wheel drive versions offer a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The standard range provides a range of up to 460 km (WLTP). Thanks to the 800 V architecture, DC charging is possible up to a peak power of 260 kW. On alternating current, however, up to 11 kW. However, the Long Range provides a range of up to 570 km (WLTP). With this battery it will be possible to replenish DC energy up to a maximum power of 300 kW.

The AWD Performance version reaches a top speed of 200 km/h and, as mentioned earlier, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Thanks to the 98 kWh battery, the range reaches 520 km.


Then we have the proposed XPENG P7 sedan. in RWD Long Range, AWD Performance and Wing Edition versions. In more detail, the RWD Long Range is powered by a single electric motor producing 203kW of power and 440Nm of torque. The maximum speed reaches 200 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.7 seconds. Everything is powered by an 82.7 kWh NCM battery that provides a range (WLTP) of 576 km. The battery can be charged with direct current up to a maximum power of 175 kW. On alternating current up to 11 kW.

The AWD Performance and Wing Edition models are powered by a dual electric motor powertrain producing 348 kW of power and a maximum torque of 757 Nm. Top speed of 200 km/h and 4.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill. The battery remains unchanged, but the range drops to 505 km (WLTP). Here are the prices for the German market.

  • Long-range rear-wheel drive: 49,600 euros
  • Four-wheel drive: 58,600 euros
  • Wing edition: 69,600 euros
