Prince Harry and Prince William may meet at relatives’ funeral

Princess Diana’s aunt, Mary Roche, died the other day.

Princess Diana’s aunt, Mary Roche, died in England. She was 88 years old. So Prince Harry and William could theoretically meet at a close relative’s funeral. However, no statement has yet been made. The Daily Mail writes about it.

Princess Diana’s mother, Frances Ruth Shand Kydd, was the daughter of 4th Baron Fermoy Maurice Roche. John Spencer, who had five children, was unhappy in his first marriage to the 8th Earl Spencer. Her husband beat her, so when the youngest child was three, Frances left her husband and went to live with her lover, Peter Shand Kidd, an Australian businessman. Diana’s mother passed away in 2004. Prince William and Harry were at his funeral.

Frances had a brother, Edmund, and a sister, Mary. The women were friendly. Mary Roche was also one of the few people who were skeptical of Diana’s decision to marry Prince Charles.

While others claimed that the future Princess of Wales was happy, she noticed that her niece looked “unhappy” at her pre-wedding reception at Buckingham Palace in 1981.

“I remember how unhappy she was with this reception,” she later admitted.

Mary later said that she thought her 20-year-old nephew was incompatible with future King Charles, who was then 33 years old.

“They were at very different stages of development. Diana was young and had limited life experience, and Prince Charles was already a great thinker. He read a lot. They were probably very different people,” Diana’s aunt said.

Diana’s death wasn’t the only tragedy Mary experienced. Her first ex-husband, Conservative MP Sir Anthony Berry, was killed by the IRA in the bombing of a hotel in Brighton in 1984. Homer Berry, former co-owner of The Daily Telegraph, was the son of 1st Viscount Kemsley.

Mary was married and divorced twice more. Diana’s sister, Frances, who was her mother, died in 2004 at the age of 68. Inheriting the title of Baron Fermoy, their brother Edmund shot himself in 1984 after a long depression. In marriages, Mary gave birth to four children.

However, the hope that the death of a relative will reconcile the princes is extremely small. It is not yet clear whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend King Carl’s coronation in May.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed they had received an invitation for the coronation, but did not specify whether they would attend.

The coronation, which must be seen by millions in the UK and possibly billions worldwide, will take place on May 6, when Harry’s son Archie turns four.

It was previously learned that Frogmore Cottage, where Harry and Meghan lived before Megzit, is no longer their residence. The king expelled them from the mansion.
