The sequel will be directed by Ridley Scott and will feature Paul Mescal as Lucius, Commodus’ nephew. Denzel Washington was also featured in the movie.

Crowe, 58, announced on The Ryan Turbidi Show that although he wished Mescal good luck, he was not working on a sequel.

“I was sure at some point they would want to ask me something, but everyone was quiet. It’s a continuation of the story, so it doesn’t interest me at all,” the actor said.

“This young actor Paul is a good man and I wish him good luck,” said Crowe, adding that he liked the idea of ​​a Gladiator sequel.
