The classic Odessa appetizer is, of course, minced meat and very easy to prepare.

Forshmak is an appetizer of salted herring, apples, onions and butter. This Jewish dish goes especially well with pan-dried black bread. Forshmak is prepared easily and quickly in a blender or meat grinder. Try to cook this minced meat according to the classic recipe. Focus and enjoy its delicate taste.

Classic ground beef

Contents:

  1. salted herring – 150 g;
  2. eggs – 2 pcs .;
  3. green apple – 50 g;
  4. butter – 70 g;
  5. small bulb;
  6. rye bread – 1 slice (you can do without it);
  7. vinegar (9%) – 1 tbsp. l.;
  8. green onions – for decoration.

Hard-boil the eggs, cool and peel. Wash and peel the apple. Remove the peel from the onion, wash and dry. Cut the apple and onion into large pieces.

Soak the bread in water. Clean the herring from bones and skin, leave a fillet.

Put herring, bread, apples, onions and eggs in a blender or meat grinder. Grind or slide everything into a paste.

Gradually add the vinegar and butter, continuing to whisk or mix until smooth.

Put the minced meat on a plate, garnish with finely chopped green onions and let it brew for a while in the refrigerator.

Serve the ground beef with bread, pancakes, or other favorite dishes.

You can also cook delicious fish paste in orange jelly. You can use any red fish for this: salmon, trout or salmon.
