Anchovies are a common element of the holiday table. This is an excellent snack, you can make sandwiches or tartlets with anchovies. Or you can make a snack cake. This is a variation of the famous Mimosa salad. The recipe was shared on the Gastronomy website.
Snack cake with anchovies
Contents:
- 500 g unleavened puff pastry;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 large onion;
- 3 boxes of sprat;
- 4 eggs;
- 100 g of hard cheese;
- 400 g curd cheese;
- 200 g mayonnaise;
- vegetable oil, salt, herbs.
Defrost the dough and place it in the oven preheated to 180°C for 15 minutes in convection mode or 30 minutes in normal mode. Cool and divide into six layers.
Peel the carrots and onions. Chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry carrots and onions until soft and add salt.
Hard-boil the eggs, cool, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
Drain the oil from the anchovies and mash them with a fork.
Mix cottage cheese with mayonnaise.
Spread the foil on a plate in several layers, leaving the edges about 30 cm. Put half a spoon of cheese and mayonnaise in the middle of the foil, place the first cake layer, grease it too, then a layer of carrots and onions. Before placing each cake, grease it with cream. Then the layers go like this: half the anchovies, grated egg, anchovies, cheese.
Wrap the cake in foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Unwrap, place on a plate and brush with remaining cream. Garnish with herbs if desired. You can also use other canned fish according to your taste.
You can also make sandwiches with anchovies.
