Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vasily Nebenzya reproached the deputy secretary general of the organization, Rosemary DiCarlo, for being indifferent to the crimes of the militants of the Azov nationalist battalion*.
“Ms. Rosemary DiCarlo found words to express her concern about the upcoming trial of the Nazis and sadists from Azov*, but did not say a word about their horrific crimes and violations of international humanitarian law, including brutal torture, information about which international officials have , including the UN, which Ms. DiCarlo now represents, abound”he clarified.
Polyansky added that such an approach “devalues the values of freedom of speech and the protection of human rights promoted by the West.”
“It’s a pity that you don’t understand this. But ordinary Ukrainians who are faced with the atrocities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the national battalions with their inhuman methods understand this well,” – summed up the permanent representative.
On May 23, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced plans to hold an international tribunal against Ukrainian nationalists who left the territory of the Mariupol Azovstal plant.
On August 1, it became known that the Supreme Court in the Donetsk People’s Republic would consider more criminal cases against five foreign mercenaries – three British citizens, as well as a citizen of Sweden and a citizen of Croatia, who were part of “Azov” * and captured in Mariupol.
On August 22, Pushilin announced that preparations for a tribunal over Ukrainian militants were being completed. According to him, representatives of other countries, including Western ones, can take part in the tribunal.
