Almost 100 people got food poisoning in Budva in Montenegro

The national television of Montenegro reports that a massive food poisoning has occurred in a large hotel in the tourist city of Budva in Montenegro. Several dozen victims were hospitalized. Previously, the hotel noticed repeated violations of sanitary standards.

“Last night at about 22:00, 30 patients with acute diarrheal syndrome and vomiting were brought to the hospital in Kotor. A comprehensive diagnosis was carried out. All patients were discharged in a normal condition,” – said the head physician of the Kotor hospital Davor Kamburovich.

It is also known that tourists from Poland, Italy and Croatia, who were passing through the hotel, turned to other hospitals on the coast. The Montenegrin authorities have not yet commented on the situation, while foreign embassies in Montenegro have already joined in helping their citizens.

Earlier in Nizhny Novgorod, in a children’s camp where three dozen children fell ill, E. coli was found. In the children’s camp, violations of the requirements of sanitary legislation, including the rules of disinfection, were revealed. So, E. coli was found on some clean dishes, jars and on a drinking fountain.
