Victim recovering from a diagnosed concussion after an attackwhich authorities say happened around 11:00 a.m. Saturday on Pico Boulevard.
The battered woman’s boyfriend, Dan Steinberg, said his partner had just had his morning coffee when the attack happened. The boyfriend mentioned that the victim heard the man shouting something and then disappeared.
Steinberg said that moments later, the man returned moments before she felt something hit her on the back of the head.. Even after the attack, the woman lost consciousness for a few moments.
A video posted near the site of the attack shows the suspect is on board the electric scooter as he throws an object at the woman and then makes a U-turn to leave the scene.
A person who was nearby approached the victim and offered help.
