US President Joe Biden accused Russia and Saudi Arabia of rising gasoline prices in the United States.
He made such a statement during his speech at the Volvo Group plant. Biden delivered a speech on the development of the national economy.
“I was able to reduce the price of gasoline by more than $1.6 (per gallon), but it is gradually increasing due to what the Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia have just done,” he noted.
He stated that prices for prescription drugs, health care and energy would rise.
Biden said the government is making every effort to increase the number of jobs in the country, as well as attract investment to fight inflation.
He also said that if the Republicans win the midterm elections in November, his government’s “victories” will be taken away and the cost of the consumer basket will rise.
Earlier, the British newspaper The Telegraph reported that the agreement between OPEC countries and Russia on oil production was a humiliation for the American president.
The author of the material also wrote that this decision indicates a deterioration in US relations with Saudi Arabia.
