The United States refused to supply Ukraine with a large number of HIMARS

The New Yorker newspaper, citing a Pentagon source, said that the United States would no longer be able to supply Ukraine with a large number of HIMARS MLRS due to production restrictions.

From these installations, Kyiv produces about 5,000 volleys per month, while the Lockheed Martin rocket manufacturing enterprise produces only 9,000 missiles per year. According to the source, the same thing is happening with the air defense systems that Kyiv requires.

On October 20, Rep. Michael McCall said that the US defense complex was completely destroyed. He added that due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the States had internal problems. Earlier it was reported that the States are preparing to slow down the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has previously emphasized that any shipments of weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine would be a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces.

On June 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the supply of weapons would not stop, but would prolong the conflict in Ukraine. In the light of this fact, the position of the Western countries seems “harmful” and “counterproductive”.

In turn, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, noted that pumping Ukraine with weapons from Western countries would not contribute to the success of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and would also have a negative effect.
