The city council of Kyiv adopted the budget of the capital of Ukraine for the next year. The mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, said that we are talking about a “survival budget.”

I congratulate the deputies, we have approved a balanced financial document based on the current realities. A survival budget to help secure critical spending items“, – TASS quotes him.

It is noteworthy that the budget turned out to be in surplus – revenues in it exceed expenditures by $0.1 billion.

Earlier, Klitschko said that Kyiv could lose water, electricity and heating in the near future.

According to the mayor, the “points of indestructibility” prepared by the city authorities will not be enough to heat the entire population of the capital.

The fact is that only 500 such points were opened in Kyiv, but this number is clearly not enough for a city with a population of three million.
