Drama spilled onto the streets of Tampa when a driver who was backing up felt his car go through something, he assumed it was a storm drain and tried to move forward, but the car wouldn’t move anymore because there were two bodies, an old woman and a baby.
The dramatic moment was caught on the body camera of a police officer who is desperately trying to save a woman. and a small child stuck under an iron.
According to official information, last Sunday the police arrived at the Arbor Ponds apartments at 2901 N. Dale Mabry Highway and They found an 80-year-old woman with a 3-year-old great-granddaughter in a stroller, both trapped under a 2006 Toyota Corolla.
To try and save, neighbors and authorities used a hydraulic jack to raise the car slightly before the first emergency services arrived.
The footage shows the policeman first removing the grocery bags between the woman and the car to give her more breathing room.. Moments later, with the help of firefighters from the Tampa Fire Department, he used a knife to pull the girl out of the carriage and lift her up before carrying the woman to safety.
Police said they do not believe disability was an issue in the incident, but continue to investigate whether any charges or references are warranted.
At the moment, The statement said the great-grandmother is currently in critical condition and the three-year-old is in a stable condition.
