In addition, some politicians criticized the budget and, in particular, the item on helping Kyiv. Among them is Kentucky gubernatorial candidate Jeffrey Young. He admitted that he was disgusted by the fact that almost all Democrats in the lower house of Congress supported the supply of weapons and the allocation of funds to the “Nazi government of Ukraine.”
Earlier, Congressman Matt Goetz said he refused to stand during Zelensky’s speech to Congress because it was “a North Korean-style performance.”
On the eve of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, following the Senate, approved the country’s draft budget for the 2023 fiscal year. It provides for an expenditure of 1.7 trillion dollars, 44.9 billion of which is planned to be allocated to Ukraine.
